U.K.: Unemployment Benefits at Record High

The British Office for National Statistics says that the number of people claiming unemployment benefits in the U.K. is at record highs, according to numbers from February. An estimated 1.39 million residents are now on job seeker’s allowance, following a surge of new claimants totaling in excess of 138,000 last month. Indonesia to Attend G20 Summit

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will attend the G20 summit in London on April 2nd, presidential spokesman Dino patti Djalal confirmed. Though the President faces legislative elections just one week later on April 9th which had until now cast doubts on whether he could attend, the spokesperson told the Jakarta post daily that his attendance is now guaranteed.
