Six Powers: Direct Diplomacy Towards Iran

After the revelation that Iran is now capable of building a nuclear weapon, a series of letters was uncovered between US President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev concerning possible tactics to defuse the nuclear situation. In a show of solidarity, six of the most influential nations today announced at a UN nuclear watchdog meeting that they would adopt a tact of “direct diplomacy” to handle threat. Israel Threatens Disproportionate Response

In a recent press conference, Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has stated that Israel will respond to continuing Hamas rocket fire with a, “severe and disproportionate response”.
