Over the past month, speculation regarding Iran-United States relations has been hyperbolic at best, fictitious at worst. Now, the situation between the two countries has not been picture perfect since a direct policy was established post-World War Two, and there’s certainly something to be said for any policy drawn up in an era of mass suspicion. However, of late things have, according to the media, been getting progressively worse. U.K. PM Warns Iran

When fears of Iran’s nuclear capabilities — reported by the International Atomic Energy Authority — arose on March 1st, the following weeks say a series of will testing between Washington and Tehran, before a tact of direct diplomacy was adopted by six nations. Iran Retaliates To US Sanctions

In a response to U.S. President Barack Obama’s lengthening of sanctions upon Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Friday called the renewal of punitive measures “a childish idea and a big mistake,”. At the launch of a natural gas project in the southern Gulf port of Assaluyeh, Ahmadinejad stressed the momentum of Iranian advancement and the nation’s growing independence, Iranian news agencies say. Russia and US Discuss Nuclear Situation

Following the decision to renew ties with Russia made at the NATO conference this week, correspondence has resumed in full swing.
