The past few days have seen a fair amount of testing going on, and not just the incredibly emotive stem cell research order, which in my opinion will do a lot of good in the world. I do sympathize with the staunch pro-life advocates, sure, but were a presently incurable disease staring them in the face I’m sure they would take a more open-minded stance on the issue. Missile Testing in Iran

With speculation high about Iranian nuclear capabilities of late, the news that Iran has test-fired a new surface-to-air missile is doing little to assuage doubts worldwide of the country’s intentions. Strictly Plutonic

Today has been a day first and foremost about friendship; the United States is currently going steady both with Iran and with Russia, that is, provided the pillow talk revolves primarily around the situation in Afghanistan. What earlier this week started out as an “innocent” exchange of letters from one world leader to another has fast become a unified front to tackle the situation of insurgents in the country. Iran and US to Discuss Afghanistan

In the spirit of putting long-term rivalries aside for the greater good, Iran said today that it would consider attending a meeting with the US to discuss the Taliban insurgency.
