Igor Panarin, world famous doctor of political science at the Russian diplomatic academy of Foreign Affairs has been predicting for over a decade that 2010 will be the last year of the U.S. hegemonic rule, predicting an economic collapse and a civil war which would cause the establishment of 6 new countries.
Dr. Panarin is not an unknown crazed academic, in fact, as a former KGB analyst, Panarin has been world respected for a dozen years acting as dean to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s academy, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Panarin also holds a number of published articles and books in respected academic journals, newspapers, and more.
“The dollar isn’t secured by anything, the country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche; this is a pyramid, which has to collapse.” said Panarin in an interview to the Russian newspaper, Izvestia, going on to add that Russian media has interviewed him nearly twice per day about his predictions - the U.S. financial crisis and tough economic times due to international recessions likely to blame for the increase in interest.
Panarin believes that in the middle of 2010, the United States will be subject to a civil war partially resulting from the dichotomy created between political beliefs, and exacerbated by economic decline and the leading collapse of the dollar. This collapse will result in the creation of six new states; he goes as far as claiming that Russia, not Canada, will take control of Alaska.
“Dissatisfaction is growing, and it is only being held back at the moment by the elections, and the hope [the new President-elect, Barack Obama] can work miracles, but when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles.” finished the doctor.

QUICK. SPREAD FEAR.
But seriously, a collapse of the United States in the fashion this man describes would be sweet; Canada would be able to break off (god, we’re no happier with corrupt and generally horrid politics either) and the northwest side of the states, combined with the western provinces would make a super country.
