About
With the advancement of new media in news coverage, in-depth, comprehensive and honest reporting has been sacrificed for sensationalist headlines in a bid to attract the most readers in a sea of competition. Politonomist strongly believes that in today’s rapidly changing political and economic climate, it is vital for readers to receive quality, fact-based reporting.
Based in Western Canada, our mission statement is simply to remove the hype from news. While we are staffed by humans, and we do make mistakes in this regard, we strive to achieve accuracy and honesty in the scope of our reporting rather than sensationalizing mediocrity in to a story.
Our aim is to bring you, the reader (our most important stakeholder), a unified, rational and substantiated opinion grounded in our sophisticated network of established professionals and experts in varying fields. Experts from various backgrounds — development, architecture, the Internet, medicine, law and a range of small business owners. We also nurture a network of social and professional connections in academia, ensuring our insightful analysis into current affairs.
Throughout our writing process, we strive to achieve our core goal: presenting professional, scholarly-quality coverage of theoretical and real-world questions in a way that appeals to a broad, intelligent audience. Given this reader-centric approach, we value any and all feedback on our writing. We can be contacted via the comment facilities in each article, or via e-mail at contact@politonomist.com.
