A ‘Conscience’ Plea

Significantly, in what may in fact be a terrorist attack, the day started off with a bang; hearing that Tsvangirai, Prime Minister of Zimbabwe was involved in a tragic car crash with a garbage truck — killing his wife. The media is reporting it as a simple accident, and there’s no question in my mind it may be exactly that, but perhaps it is something more significant than the simple ‘facts’ as they are reported have been showing.

Of course, this is just a possibility. We found today, that legal experts believe Madoff’s case could be coming to a close — as certain language was found in recent court documents which is historically indicative of the impending acceptance of a plea bargain.

Ali al-Marri, a suspected terror suspect launched an appeal to apparently take advantage of some of the Obamarama in the air, requesting release from his 5-year military detention, and was blatantly rejected. Bush previously classified al-Marri as a “unlawful combatant,” after involvements in fraud and false statements were released; the Obama administration reclassified the offender, which, was likely the inspiration for the appeal.

In even more review of Bush-ian policy, the Obama administration released report saying that the “conscience” rule, which would allow health care professionals to avoid engaging in activity which may disavow their personal beliefs — in reality, the law had been used to escape a wide range of routine health care engagements — would be entirely stricken.

Finally, this editor welcomes our newest writer — Blake Allen, who started yesterday with a piece on Guinea-Bissau and followed in his implicit position of covering third-world and niche news with today’s piece on President of the Sudan, Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir.
